Techno-Judiciaries, the Socialist Path and the Emergence of a New Principal Contradiction Between Technology and Control--PPT for the Presentation "Smart Courts, Smarter Party?: A Necessary but Incomplete Interpenetration"

I include here the images for the PPT to accompany the remarks I will make, "Smart Courts, Smarter Party?: A Necessary bt Incomplete Interpenetration"  at the Workshop on Smart Courts in Comparative Perspective. This workshop is part of the international and interdisciplinary research project"Smart Courts – Disruptive Technologies in China’s Judicial System” at the University of Cologne, 8 July 2025. See HERE for the Abstract and text of the Remarks.

The Remarks consider the conceptual conundrum of the "smart court" phenomenon in its Chinese variation. And in that variation suggests the emerging nature of the fundamental problem--for shaping human cognitive frameworks--posed by the current evolution of the relationship between the human and the virtual. In the Chinese context, it leads to the possibility of understanding the contours of a post-New Era general or principal contradiction, as technology makes possible the New Era's goal of moving beyond the primary stage of socialism into its next stage of development. See Constitution of the Communist Party of China, General Program ¶ 9 for the explanation of the current principal contradiction. In this stage, one built on the consequences of successfully meeting the challenge of New-Era Socialist Modernization through high quality production/productivity, the principal —the contradiction between tech based and human driven forms of guidance and leadership and with it, the re-conceptualization of the interpenetrative engagements between virtual and human intelligence in the arena of guiding human development.
