Joaquin Pujol, "On the performance of the Cuban economy;" Association for the Study of the Cuban Economy (ASCE) Webinar Series for 2018-2019



The Association for the Study of the Cuban Economy (ASCE) sponsors a Webinair series that focus on issues  of Cuba and Cuban engagement in the world (for prior year Webinair's see, e.g., here).

ASCE has announced the first program of its its 2018-2019 Webinair series. On November 13, 2018, from Noon to 1:00 PM,  Joaquin Pujol (International Monetary Fund retired) will present his usually brilliant discussion, this year entitled "On the Performance of the Cuban Economy."

Findings about the performance of the Cuban economy from ASCE July Annual Meeting

Abstract: The recent meeting of the “Association for the Study of the Cuban Economy (ASCE)” gathered some of the top world economists and other social scientists that follow the performance of the Cuban economy. We will be presenting a summary of the conclusions reached at that Conference

Presenter: Joaquin P. Pujol, a Cuban born graduate from the Wharton School and the University of Pennsylvania, who served for 30 years at the International Monetary Fund, heading IMF missions to negotiate economic programs with a number of Latin American countries, was one of the founders of ASCE, and has published numerous articles about the Cuban economy.
