together Ph.D. scholars and early-career faculty members to explore how AI tools and techniques
can support academic research and teaching, especially in resource-constrained and rapidly
evolving environments. The event includes hands-on workshops aimed at building digital
competencies among social scientists and students. Topics include:
§ Fundamentals of machine learning and data analytics for social research
§ Designing ethical research protocols in computational social science
§ Visualization and storytelling with big data
§ Grant writing and funding opportunities at the intersection of AI and social sciences
