Building on the success of our 2023 World Data Forum Macau Satellite Event and 2024 UNU Macau AI Conference, the UNU Macau AI Conference 2025 will convene thought leaders, innovators and stakeholders under the theme AI for Humanity: Building an Equitable Digital Future. 人工智能(AI)的快速发展不仅为世界带来巨大机遇,也敲响了其对人类安全、社会公平与伦理潜在影响的警钟。联合国大学驻澳门研究所(UNU Macau)致力于探索一个关键命题:如何确保人工智能以公平且负责任的方式造福全人类?
基于2023年世界数据论坛澳门卫星会议及2024年联合国大学澳门人工智能会议的成功经验,2025 年联合国大学澳门人工智能会议将以“人工智能为人类:共建公平数字未来”为主题,汇聚全球思想领袖、创新者与利益相关方。本次会议旨在弥合地域、经济、文化与数字鸿沟,确保人工智能的惠益触达所有人。
本次会议将于 2025 年 10 月 23 日至 24 日举行,即联合国日,这一象征性日期恰逢联合国成立80周年及联合国大学成立50周年。
本次全球盛会预计将吸引约500名来自学术界、产业界、政府及民间社会的代表,包括高层主旨演讲嘉宾。会议围绕三大主题策划议程,致力于通过深度讨论与务实成果推动数字时代的公平发展。同期还将举办会前/会后活动、研讨会及竞赛(如人工智能与社会创新竞赛)。

◾ 助力弥合数字鸿沟的人工智能研究:聚焦人工智能对就业、民生、气候变化、人类安全及伦理等领域影响的研究与学术成果,推动可落地的洞见与政策建议。
◾ 人工智能时代的包容性与能力建设:通过能力建设倡议与合作,确保人工智能技术普惠所有群体;展示政府、机构与社区协同确保AI技术可及性与包容性的成功案例。
◾ 协同创新与跨学科视角下的AI生态构建:探讨人工智能生态系统议题,包括跨领域技术协同、促进负责任创新与跨学科合作的框架设计。

我们欢迎以下类型的投稿:
论文投稿
▪ 此类投稿需提交会议摘要(500字,PDF格式,含标题、作者姓名及单位)。
▪ 入选报告时长:15分钟。
▪ 最佳投稿将受邀撰写全文,该论文可能作为会议论文集出版。
▪ 受邀论文提交格式(细则将单独发送):
1. 研究论文,此类要求提交 12 页的论文;
2. 政策案例研究或实践指南、以技术为重点的案例研究或相关项目或实践,此类要求提交 5 页的论文。
▪ 所有受邀论文都将经过同行评审。
完整专题环节提案
▪ 以会议主题下的某一特定议题为中心的完整专题环节提案。此类提案应由专题的主席提交。主席负责与所有相关成员(如演讲者、主持人或讨论小组成员)协调专题环节。
▪ 完整专题的类型可能包括:
1. 由主席选定的专题研讨会,最多包含 4 个报告;
2. 圆桌会议或小组讨论;
3. 演示会议;
4. 扩展的政策案例研究。
▪ 提交格式:1 页(pdf 格式),包括标题、关键词、选定的会议主题、专题简短描述、主持人和演讲者的完整信息,包括简短的个人简介(最多 150 字)和联系信息。
▪ 环节时长:1.5小时。
海报展示提案

Conference Overview
The rapid advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) have not only provided the world with immense opportunities, but also raised the alarm on its potential to impact our safety, security and equality. At the United Nations University Institute in Macau (UNU Macau), we seek to address a crucial question: How can we ensure AI serves humanity equitably and responsibly?
Building on the success of our 2023 World Data Forum Macau Satellite Event and 2024 UNU Macau AI Conference, the UNU Macau AI Conference 2025 will convene thought leaders, innovators and stakeholders under the theme AI for Humanity: Building an Equitable Digital Future. Our conference aims to bridge divides - whether geographic, economic, cultural or digital- and ensure that the benefits of AI reach everyone.
The conference will take place on 23-24 October, 2025, the UN Day, a symbolic date commemorating the 80th anniversary of the United Nations and the 50th anniversary of UNU.
This global gathering is expected to welcome around 500 participants from across the world, including high-level keynote speakers and representatives from academia, industry, government, and civil society. With sessions planned under the three themes, the conference promises rich discussions and impactful outcomes aimed at fostering an equitable digital future. We are also planning to host a series of pre-, post and side events, workshops and competitions (e.g. AI and social innovation competition).
Conference Themes
Participants from across sectors (e.g., academia, civil society, government or industry) are encouraged to respond to our call for proposals for the conference that fall broadly into one or more of the following themes:
◾ AI Research for Narrowing the Digital Divide: research and academic studies that drive actionable insights and policy recommendations, such as on AI’s impact on employment, livelihoods, climate change, human security and ethics.
◾ Inclusiveness and Capacity Building in the AI Era: capacity building initiatives and collaborations to ensure AI technologies are accessible and beneficial to all communities, showcasing success stories where governments, organizations, and communities have united to ensure AI's benefits are accessible and inclusive.
◾ Navigating the AI Ecosystem through Synergies and Interdisciplinary Innovation: issues related to AI ecosystems, including synergies across different fields and technologies, and frameworks that promote responsible innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Submission Guidelines
We welcome submissions in the following types:
Papers
▪ This type requires the submission of an abstract for presentation at the conference (500 words, PDF format, title, co-authors' names and affiliations).
▪ Duration of selected presentations: 15 minutes.
▪ Best submissions will be invited to produce a paper that may be published as a conference proceedings.
▪ Formats for invited paper submissions (details will be sent directly to invitees):
1 - Research papers, this type asks for a paper of 12 pages;
2 - Policy case studies or practice guidelines, technology-focused case studies or on relevant projects or practices, this type asks for a paper of 5 pages.
▪ All invited papers will undergo a peer review process.
Full Sessions
▪ Proposals for a full session centred on a specific topic that falls under the themes of the conference. Submission for this type should be submitted by the chair of the session. The chair is responsible for coordinating the session with all members involved, e.g. speakers, moderators or panelists.
▪ Types of a full session may include
1 - Symposia with up to 4 presentations on a common topic selected by the chair;
2 - Roundtable or panel discussions;
3 - Demo sessions;
4 - Extended policy case studies.
▪ Format for submission: 1 page (pdf format), including a title, keywords, selected conference theme, short description of the session, full information of the chair and speakers including short bios (150 words max) and contact information.
▪ Duration of a full session: 1.5 hours.
Poster Sessions
▪ This type requires the submission of an abstract for presentation at the conference (500 words, PDF format, title, co-authors' names and affiliations).
▪ Guidelines will be provided for accepted posters.
▪ Posters should fall in the conference themes and showcase innovative projects, case studies or early-stage research.
▪ Dedicated sessions for posters will be available during the conference.
▪ Posters presenters will be required to attend the conference and will be asked to bring a printed version of their posters to the conference.
