This first webinar will consider the recent ground-breaking advisory opinions on climate change rendered by the International Tribunal on the Law of the Sea, (ITLOS), the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACtHR), and their implications for business and human rights. Experts will discuss the genesis of these cases, the issues before each of the courts, and aspects of the rulings that have implications for the business and human rights normative framework.

Le CREDP et ILA Canada sont heureux de collaborer à une série de webinaires sur les entreprises & les droits de la personne (EDP), un domaine de recherche multidisciplinaire qui examine les implications des activités commerciales sur les droits de la personne l'environnement et qui réfléchit à la manière de prévenir et de réparer ces préjudices. Il s'agit également d'un domaine de mobilisation sociale, de pratique juridique et de consultation.
Ce webinaire examinera les récents avis consultatifs novateurs sur les changements climatiques rendus par le Tribunal international du droit de la mer (TIDM), la Cour internationale de justice (CIJ) et la Cour interaméricaine des droits de l'homme (CIDH), ainsi que leurs implications pour les entreprises et les droits de la personne. Des experts discuteront de la genèse de ces affaires, des questions soumises à chacun des tribunaux et des aspects des décisions qui ont des implications pour le cadre normatif des entreprises et des droits de la personne.
