Happy to pass along this announcement from Rush Doshi, Director of the China Strategy Initiative and C.V. Starr Senior Fellow for Asia Studies, Council on Foreign Relations
On behalf of Council on Foreign Relations' China Strategy Initiative, I'm excited to invite you to join the first session of the second annual Washington China Forum, this coming Tuesday, January 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. (EST).
U.S. Senators Christopher Coons and Pete Ricketts will engage in a bipartisan discussion on the role of Congress—relative to the executive branch—in formulating, resourcing, and creating the institutional basis of China policy. CFR President Mike Froman will give introductions, former National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley will deliver welcoming remarks, and I will moderate the conversation.
This event is co-organized by the Council on Foreign Relations’ China Strategy Initiative and the 21st Century China Center at UC San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy, as part of the annual Washington China Forum.
I hope that you will join us for what promises to be a fascinating event.
